Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop 2010

If your able to attend, the 2010 Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop (USAW) will be held in the intermountain's mecca for winter sports, Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, November 6th.  USAW is a great opportunity to glean some knowledge from professionals in the snow and avalanche industry. 

"Coming off the heels of last years well attended event, USAW is the venue where Utah's snow and avalanche community can share local knowledge and history. This visionary professional development seminar at an affordable price, taps into the vast amount of avalanche knowledge we have here in the state among our own local avalanche community. You'll hear about historic avalanche events and new innovations from avalanche forecasters, ski patrollers, snow scientists, UDOT avalanche professionals, search & rescue personnel, mountain guides, ski industry manufacturers, backcountry skiers & snowboarders, snowmobilers, avalanche scholars and more.

This is an opportunity to preserve the amazing amount of expertise we have in our avalanche community. Experts sharing their experience is a great way for snow professionals to learn and the master-apprentice relationship has worked this way for decades. The format will be much like a mini ISSW with presentations lasting 15 minutes and a 5 minute Q and A."
