Olympic Park
The Utah Olympic Park Avalanche Dog program is one of the youngest programs in Utah. The program began with the team of Stefan Berkel and Reggie. Stefan and Reggie attained their “A” Level certification while working at Park City Mountain Resort and called the UOP their home after several years at PCMR.
The UOP maintains a minimum of one “A” Level Avalanche Dog team when in winter operations. Currently, Sean Hopewell and his yellow lab, Parley, is the resident “A” team at the UOP. The UOP remains an active participant with the WBR by hosting WBR events and maintaining a position on the WBR Avalanche Dog Committee. The UOP hopes to bring a second Avalanche Dog team on in the near future.
